Seasoned with salt?

I was thinking today about how important it is for me to feel encouraged. I also was thinking about how important it is for me to also be encouraging. Honestly it's a heartburning feeling to feel un-encouraged by your friends or anyone for that matter. I'm not sure what comes over us sometimes causing us to say certain things that will hurt the other person. I know as humans we mess up a lot and we seldom think about what we are going to say before we blab out the words that after we say them we realize... "I shouldn't have acted that way." or "I shouldn't have said that, it wasn't loving or encouraging at all!" What's the deal? The bible tells us to speak our words with GRACE and to season them with salt! In other words, make them loving and salty so they taste better to the person receiving them. We may have a harsh feeling towards someone or something they choose to do but, as Christian brothers and sisters we need to be encouraging and loving and graceful with our words. I hope this encourages someone like it has encouraged me to think about.
